Receptionist - 25/04/18

Main purpose of job: The Front Desk is the heart of the hotel as it is the central information point for all our guests. It is important to be aware of what is going on in and around the hotel as well as what’s going on in the city. As receptionist you will be able to make the difference and make sure that the guest stay is one to remember. You will be the first and last contact with our guests and have the power to make the difference. Responsibilities / Tasks: • Check-in and Check-out (cashiering) • Making reservations • Reporting (important information for day/night operations, technical problems, discrepancies,…) to the right person/department • Provide assistance to our guests where needed • Communicate with the different shifts and departments • Ensure the work area remains clean and fully stocked • Making taxi reservations • Handling unexpected situations • Secure property revenue

Vereiste vaardigheden:   Skill set we are looking for: We are looking for a person preferably graduated in a hotel/tourism school or with apprenticeship qualifications in this industry. Practical working experience in Front Office Area (reception, cashiering or night reception) is a plus but not a must. • Dynamic, motivated and service minded • Flexible (working in shifts) • Friendly personality and high standard of customers' approach • Team player and positive minded attitude • Good organization and communication skills; Fluent in written and verbal English and French is a must (Dutch or any other language is a plus) • Computer literate (excel and word) - PMS system knowledge such as Opera is an advantage • Can handle more than one task/situation at the time and keeps control in stressful situations • Analyses relevant information about an issue and makes conscious decisions for action In addition, you can identify you with our 3 basic values: 1) Passionately committed, 2) Professional hospitality and 3) The power to please.
