GROUP PURCHASER - 24/01/19

Main purpose of job As a Group Purchaser for Thon Hotels Brussels and Rotterdam you will be in charge of all food and non-food group contracts and you will report to the Assistant Area Director Benelux. Your head office will be at Thon Hotel EU, were you are part of the management team and were you will be in charge of the daily purchasing operations (ordering, receiving, controlling, handling goods and inventory). Responsibilities / Tasks: • Keeping stock operational and making orders to have correct stock levels • Daily receiving and controlling of goods at Thon Hotel EU (quality & quantity) • Centralizing and preparing requisitions for different departments of the Thon Hotel EU: F&B, Housekeeping, Front Office, Kitchen, Administration • Cost control, monthly inventory, verification invoices of the hotel goods • Communication with different departments heads of Thon Hotel EU and General Managers of all Thon Hotels and Residences (Benelux) • Contact with suppliers/company representatives for negotiations of contracts (comparing quality, price & service) and in case of problems communicated by head of departments/General Managers. • Controlling purchases of the different Thon Hotels and Residence Benelux, making sure preferred suppliers are respected, checking invoices of all hotels and communicating with accounting department • Analyse the market evolution, give suggestions, support forecasting, report with direct supervisor (Assistant Area Director) • Visiting different hotels on a regular basis, keeping an open communication with departments of all hotels and organize purchasing meetings
